The properties within the Browncroft Historic District are listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 2004.The National Register is the nation's official list of properties worthy of preservation. Listing on the National Register recognizes the importance of these properties to the history of our country and provides them with a measure of protection from the effects of federal and/or state sponsored or assisted projects. In general, there are no restrictions placed upon private owners of registered properties. In addition, owners of income producing properties may qualify for federal income tax benefits.
